Kevin Johnson St. Louis Race Report - Including Main Event Crash

The last weekend of arenacross was our best yet
This
past weekend did not go that well for me.
The track in St. Louis was OK, but it got pretty rutted and one lined as
the evening went on for me. The
beginning of the weekend went well. I
holeshotted my day qualifier and won it.
A victory in any race always feels good. In the heat race I got an average start and battled with Billy
Payne for the last transfer spot. I
passed him on the last lap and qualified for the main event.
In
the main I got a good jump and screamed down the longest holeshot this year to
the first turn. I was pushed to the
outside and ended up in tenth place. I
battled with veteran John Dowd for about six laps and then crashed. I cross-rutted on the face of a jump and cart
wheeled into a turn (sounds fun?).
After a good number of kicks my 250F it finally started. I ran around in seventeenth for the rest of
the main. I’m not happy with my finish
and hope to do better at the next couple races.
