Kevin Johnson Talks About Unadilla & Troy - New Bike on the Way

Well, the past two races have not been fun for me. I have been having some bike trouble and I
just can't seem to keep it on two wheels.
At Troy I blew up a motor in the first moto and in the second I crashed
in the second turn with a couple other guys and then raced around by my self
for 33rd place. It was not a good
weekend for me. I did not like the
track and just never seemed to get going.
At Unadilla I was riding ok. I blew up a motor in the qualifier and had
to put my practice motor in my race bike for the last chance. I barely qualified. I took the last transfer position but I made
it.
In the first moto I crashed with
about seven other guys in the second turn and crushed my radiator. In the second moto I got a horrible start and
ran around in the back until the half way when my bike sucked something in the carburetor
and started running really bad. I
pulled off so I would not break another motor.
I have learned that with a 250F you
have to leave it alone. The minute you
make it faster the thing decides to break.
I was trying some things and I liked how my bike was running but I just
ran it too hard without rebuilding the motor.
I am getting a new bike for the remainder of the year and am looking
forward to getting some better finishes.
