Kevin Johnson Disappointed in High Point Ride - Surgery on the Horizon

I am a little disappointed in my Mt. Morris performance.  I am not mad about bad luck, or anything like that.  I just rode slow!  I didn't charge or even get tired.  I just rode around and stayed in 24th for most of the first moto.  I was a little rattled by the ruts, but I really don't know why I went so slow.  In the second moto, I got in a first turn pile up. I landed on my head and my bike was pretty mangled, so I had to pull off.

My neck and head are a little sore today, but I am going to be fine.  My knee is also sore.  I am planning on getting knee surgery after Buds Creek.  I really need to perform well at Southwick and Buds, so I can have a good national number for 2004.  After the surgery, I will be out for four months.  I am not looking forward to it, but if I don't do it now I will not be ready for Supercross next year.  Thanks to all the fans that support the website and I hope to see you at the races.
