Kevin Johnson Riding 125 East Coast & Fort Worth AX Recap
1/8/2004

I didn't
race Anaheim this past weekend, as I will be riding the 125 East Supercross
Series. I did race the Fort Worth National Arenacross. It was a
good weekend. Demuth was on the gas and Lange was riding well. On
Friday night I won my Semi, (I better if I am in a Semi at an
Arenacross). In the Main, I got a bad start and finished 5th.
I wasn't really happy, but I did put in some good lap times.
On Saturday
night, I won my Heat race and was pumped to have a good pick for the
Main. I got an OK start in the Main and was running 5th. Then
Hagseth (who was in fourth) decided to run into Ryan Huffman, (who was in
third). They hit kind of hard and lost momentum. I passed both of
them in the next section. In the following turn, Hagseth decided to take
us both out. He just came in a little hot and moved over into my
line. I was already committed to my line and shifting gears to enter the
whoops fast. We locked bars as we entered the whoops and went for a
ride. I don't know why he did that. We still had like six laps to
go. I was pretty mad, but at least I walked away. Unfortunately, My
bike was all bent up, so I didn't finish the main. I did however; win the
freestyle jump contest both nights to make a little extra money. Over
all it was a good weekend!
