Catching Up With Kevin Johnson

I raced an Arenacross in Amarillo, Texas a couple of weekends ago.  It was fun! I went over there with my cousin Isaiah. We had a good weekend.  He won the 125 main. I finished 2nd in the 125 main and I won the 250 main.  When the night started I felt terrible.  I finished real bad in my heat races and then it just came together in the mains.  It just reminded me to stay focused, even if things aren't going that well.

I went from there to the Pro Challenge at Swan Cycle Park in Tyler, TX.  The track was very easy and smooth, but it was still fun and there was a lot of good racing.  I had both a great and bad day.  I was riding faster than I have ever ridden.  I won both 125 motos and did it convincingly.  It was awesome!!  I haven't won a fairly big race in a while, but in the 250 class it didn't go so good.  I skipped the first 250 moto to save energy.  Then I rode the second moto and ended up crashing really hard.  Winning the 125 moto was cool, but I really wanted to win the second moto of the 250.  I think had I not crashed I would have had a good chance.  Josh Demuth was riding well, but I think I had something for him.  It is funny that the disappointment of the 250 class crash outweighed the victory in the 125 class.  I think that is because "good" things tent to fade.  That is why winning one race does not satisfy us. It fades and we want to win another.  It works with everything.  You’re new car is awesome, until it isn't new any more.  I am so thankful that I know that only Jesus truly satisfies!  Thanks to all the fans out there and I hope to see you all at the races.  God Bless, Kevin.

P.S.  I tore my mcl in my left knee a few days ago.  I am still planning on racing the US Open, but I am not totally sure how it will go.  I would appreciate prayer in this matter.  And if there is anyone who would like something prayed about please feel free to e-mail me, about anything.
