Well, I had an up and down weekend at Albany.  I had a lot of trouble getting comfortable on the track.  It was really mushy. It got really rutted and was hard for me to get into a rhythm. I did get a few tips from some of the other guys, so thanks to them I started feeling Ok.  Ok was all I could hope for on this track. On Friday, I had some bad races and had to go to the last chance of the 125 class and the semi in the 250.  I made both Mains, barely. I had to start on the second row in both mains.  Some how I ended up getting through the pack the same in both mains and came away with two fifth place finishes. I was stoked after the way the night had been going.  I also won the jump off, so it was good.

On Saturday, I had another night of great starts, (not really I was terrible at them). I had to go to the last chance in the 125 again and the semi in the 250.  I made both mains again, and again won the jump off.  In the 125 main, I got a wonderful start in 14th place.  I worked my way to about tenth and then decided that it would be good to just go slow.  I couldn't get going and I was so frustrated.  I ended up finishing 9th in the end.  I was not happy about my finish, but at least I had one more chance to do well.  I got a tenth place start in the 250 and worked my way slowly to fourth, were I finished.  I was happy with that.  So at the end of the weekend it was ok. I can't wait to get to a little harder track; I think it will help me a lot.

I would like to invite anyone who is going to be at an Arenacross this year to get a pit pass and come to our Church service with Team Faith. Come ask me if you don't know were to go, I would love to show you were it is. It is a good thing that I don't go to a race just to win. I would be going crazy with these finishes.  I do want to win.  But more importantly, I just want to be able to tell people that Jesus loves them (and you).

Thanks for all your support and God bless,

Kevin Johnson
