AURORA, Ill., (Oct. 27, 2005) – One of the more unique teams on the AMA National Arenacross Series tour this year will be Team Faith. Founded by Brian O’Rourke, led by racer Kevin Johnson and supported by freestyle specialists “Rocket” Rob Lewis and Willy “220” Watts, Team Faith is beginning its sixth consecutive year on the AMA Arenacross tour.

Johnson, who finished fourth overall in the Arenacross class (formerly 250 class) last year will be the sole racer on Team Faith’s program this year.

“I’m definitely looking forward to the new format this year,” said Johnson of the new AMA National Arenacross Series’ 80/20 scoring advantage for the Arenacross class vs. the Arenacross Lites class (formerly 125 class). “My goal is to be there in the end at Denver for the Arenacross class championship.”

In addition to Johnson, Team Faith riders Lewis and Watts will don the United States Air Force colors for the popular freestyle exhibition show during intermission at all of the AMA National Arenacross Series events. Johnson, who went undefeated in the Freestyle Jump-Off competitions last year, will join Lewis and Watts in this year’s exhibition jumping show.

Team Faith, as it has the past five seasons, will also provide non-denominational spiritual services for interested riders, mechanics and their friends and families during each night of the competition. Pit Pastor and founder Brian O’Rourke heads up the pastoral duties on the tour, while each of the team members – including past racer and current team manager/mechanic Robby McQuary – will contribute to the teaching and worship this year.

Team Faith is supported by: Western Power Sports, FLY Racing, Bobby’s J’s, Yamaha, Michelin Tires, Tag, Scott Goggles and DZ Graphics,
